Talk about Creep Factor Level 10. I was touring a home with buyer’s a few months ago when I noticed a surveillance camera trained on the living/dining room area. It felt disturbing and I suddenly had an urge to check my teeth. It also dawned on me that we’d best save strategic plotting until we were outside the home.
Since then, the issue of surveillance cameras, AKA “nanny-cams,” has come into clearer focus (sorry, I just had to go there!). Home sellers are increasingly recording would-be buyers. This video created by the crew of City Creek Mortgage is both humorous and informative. All buyers and their agents need to watch, laugh, and learn, because home sellers are recording unweary buyers.
Before you ask, these surveillance cameras are legal. Buyer’s have no expectation of privacy while touring a listing. Think of it as a public place and mind your mouth!
